Job Title: Deputy Manager (Structural Engineer), Design & Development

Job Summary:
The Structural Engineer is responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing the construction of buildings and infrastructure projects. This role ensures that structures are safe, stable, and compliant with local regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Analysis:

• -Develop structural designs for residential and commercial buildings.
• -Perform structural analysis using software like ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD Pro, etc.
• -Create detailed drawings and specifications for construction.

Project Management:

• -Collaborate with architects, construction managers, and other engineers.
• -Review and approve project designs and construction plans.
• -Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the specified quality standards.

Site Supervision:

• -Inspect construction sites to monitor progress and ensure adherence to design specifications and safety standards.
• -Conduct site visits and inspections to identify and resolve any structural issues.

Compliance and Standards:

• -Ensure all designs comply with local building codes, regulations, and standards.
• -Prepare and submit necessary documentation for government approvals and permits.

Problem-Solving:

• -Identify structural issues and provide effective solutions.
• -Investigate structural failures and recommend corrective actions.

Client Liaison:

• -Communicate with clients to understand their needs and provide regular updates on project progress.
• -Offer technical advice and solutions to clients and stakeholders.

Documentation and Reporting:

• -Maintain detailed records of design calculations, construction procedures, and inspection results.
• -Prepare reports and presentations for project stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills:

• -Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• -Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably within the real estate sector or from a reputed consultancy firm.

Additional Requirements:

• – Proficiency in structural design software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD Pro), AutoCAD, and other relevant tools.
• – Strong understanding of local building codes, standards, and regulations.
• – Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team.

• – SEng or ECPS enlisted engineers or equivalent certification is preferred.
• – Proficiency in both Bangla and English.
• – Ability to work in both office and field environments, with occasional visit to construction sites around Dhaka City.
